i am new to gmail and i would like to have my emails from my school email account sent to my gmail account. i got to the settings part and entered my email ( @uci.edu ); the username just put in the first part of my email, then it asks for a password. is it the password for my gmail account or for my school email account? also, what is the POP server? they give all these options, and a bunch of different ports. how do i know what POP server to use and what port to use? thanks

go through given below step..

1. Login to Gmail and click on the Settings link in the upper right corner.

2. Click on the Accounts tab under the Settings area.

3. Here you can click to Add another mail account.

4. Type the email address to the account you are adding and click Next Step.

5. Fill in all the details and settings for the account. If you are adding an address from Yahoo, Excite or other popular web email system, Google usually figures out all the settings automatically.

6. Once you click Add Account, the account is added successfully.

You need to get the pop settings for your school email account and enter it in your gmail settings. pop is incoming email and smtp is outgoing. You set up the pop settings along with your user name and password of school email and will forward those emails to gmail.

That is if your school account allows this. Many schools have email filters preventing them from being accessed to another account. Don't know, but you can try.

example may be pop3@uci.edu and smtp@uci.edu
