Question:
Google chrome has started crashing due to odd tab behavior?

Okay, so... at some point soon after I had a Windows Vista update (may or may not be related) Chrome started acting rather odd.

When ever I switch to a different tab using mouse control, most of the time it drags the tab out of place, even though I haven't held down the left hand mouse button.
Very occasionally this will simply dump the tab into a new window but often it causes chrome to completely crash. If I go really slowly (and I mean really, really slowly) I can get it to work through mouse control and using crtl+TAB and ctrl+# to move through tabs creates not problems what so ever.

Anyone had any similar experience or know of any possible fixes?

I have the same problem.

After I installed some updates for Vista, Chrome is pretty much unusable. When i switch tab by clicking, 1/3 times it will try to drag it. Then, when i try to move the tab to a new place or back to its original place, chrome will crash within seconds.

i've also been having this problem for the past few days and find it really annoying because i have to reload the pages and start from where i left off. i think it has to do with Chrome being in the testing stage? i guess we'll have to wait for an update to it or something...

Had same problem. tabs being dragged, listboxes taking ages to show contents, crashing non stop. Just unplugged my tablet and everythings back to normal.

Thanks for that - I've had this happen to me on Chrome on my laptop and desktop. Neither have a tablet fitted, but have the software there.

It's a real pain - Chrome was the best way to experience the internet, but it's too unstable now - thanks Vista updates!!!

Dude. I know what you're talking about. See, if you have only one tab open and you close it, then the whole browser will close, whatever site it is. Try again and see if you had only one tab open and you closed that.
