problems with google chrome internet browser?

Can anyone help me resolve this issue?
Basically i use google chrome as my internet browser and recently I've been experiencing these weird problems. I can't access any internet sites by typing them in the web address bar so the only way i can access any sites is through google search, that seems to be the only website i can actually get onto via the web address bar.
And also youtube is not working for me. When i play video, the picture won't work at all and it will skip and buffer but the audio works fine?
I read somewhere it might be to do with cookies, so i tryed clearing my history and cache and i've even un-installed chrome and reinstalled and done a full virus scan with bullguard (my virus protection)
What's going on?

If you're using Win7, Chrome is not compatible. Use Firefox.

install firefox...problem solved
