All Google Chrome users CLEARLY did not read the EULA. If they had they might not be using it right now. The following is a direct quote from Google Chrome EULA:

"11. Content license from you

11.1 You retain copyright and any other rights you already hold in Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. By submitting, posting or displaying the content you give Google a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services. This license is for the sole purpose of enabling Google to display, distribute and promote the Services and may be revoked for certain Services as defined in the Additional Terms of those Services.

11.2 You agree that this license includes a right for Google to make such Content available to other companies, organizations or individuals with whom Google has relationships for the provision of syndicated services, and to use such Content in connection with the provision of those services.

11.3 You understand that Google, in performing the required technical steps to provide the Services to our users, may (a) transmit or distribute your Content over various public networks and in various media; and (b) make such changes to your Content as are necessary to conform and adapt that Content to the technical requirements of connecting networks, devices, services or media. You agree that t his license shall permit Google to take these actions.

11.4 You confirm and warrant to Google that you have all the rights, power and authority necessary to grant the above license."

So I guess if you use it, everything you ever say or do, Google owns it...

**Read what you accept.**

Google Chrome has promise, but the current beta is a disappointment. Look at all the publicity it got! The other posters have already mentioned compatibility and stability problems. I agree.

Yes, it is fast. But that's not the only property of a browser.

On Windows Vista or XP I like:

IE8 beta (some great features for web designers too)

FF

IE7

Google Chrome

Safari is great on a Mac but not on PC. How many iTunes updaters downloaded safari without realizing it? Opera will have a more difficult time now that Google is in the game.

One big question: is Google Chrome stealing users away from FF or from IE? It will take a while of loking at web logs to find out.

Chrome, absolutely! It's definitely the fastest browser. The only real advantage Firefox has over it is the abundance of Plugins available (and a tagging feature for pages that a friend of mine lives by). If you want a lean, mean browser then Chrome is the way to go. Personally I advise people to install ABE (Anything But Explorer). My personal rankings are: Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari.

well for the haters beta = test phase

i suppose u havent ried firefox 3 or IE 7--8

all betas so they re will be bugs and issues

this is how they make it better

chrme is nice

friendly interface

fast

and god bless google for trying to take so of the power mongering microsofts share

75% of the browsers used today are IE

firefox 24% and 1 % split up among others

now chrome will take a huge chunk of that 75% and most likely a portin of Firefoxs as well

these are facts and i suggest you look them up before making a dummies commment

we can get used to all others completely being left behind and it being an MS and google war for net domination

ohh btw IE has yet another BETA version of IE supposedly dropping soon as well so its not like they ve been sitting on their hands

I do like the load time over Firefox but Firefox is still customizable and I have using it for so long that I don't think I am ready to make a full time switch. Chrome does make each tab it's own process which is awesome because I leave Firefox open for days at a time and the amount of memory it ends up taking up gets to be ridiculous some times.

I am really digging chrome. Check out the link below to see the concepts they used to design the browser. The browser is super simple but has some super sweet features.

With the browser open press shift + Esc.

This will allow you to see how much memory each tab is utilizing

At the bottom of this window click on "Stats for nerds"

This will bring up a list of individual processes so if you notice a memory leak or get a bad plugin you can kill individual processes to avoid a crash and loosing all the windows.

Overall for a beta release it is excellent.

Google Chrome has the looks and feels that I desire, but I'm sticking to FireFox 3 for the moment.

While I liked some of its features, Chrome just isn't for me. I prefer Firefox since Chrome is still in beta.

I did! Very fast! You can also drag the tab in case you want to make it as separate window. I also love the simplicity of Chrome. No fuss! I love it!

best features are address bar is combined with the search bar so just type in anything and it will find it. New feature is called the Omnibox.

You can drag a tab to form a new windows, very cool especially with dual monitors.

damit! yes i did, and the biggest mistake ive done!! im always spending 5 mins to choose which browser to use, firefox or chrome, firefox or chrome, and then i start writing down a pros/cons list!! at the end of the day i just open both browsers and multisurf.....

I tried it a few days ago, on release of the beta version. It's not bad, a little unstable at times. I uninstalled it to wait for the final version.

I really like it. It's not compatible with certain things like msn games yet, but the features are really nice and it's only a matter of time before those websites adapt for it. Plus, it's really fast.

I really want to get it, I've used it before on other computers and it's much nicer and faster, waiting to get my new computer to finally get Chrome.

chrome works really fine at new pcs... with a fast cpu and lots of ram chrome worked good...

but;

i tried it with 2 pentium3 pcs with 128 of ram... and chrome killed them both :))

so;

don't use it if you have a old one... and with a core2duo why not ;) looks good for me :)

it SUCKS! i'm using Mozilla Releases Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2 -

http://rss.slashdot.org/~r/Slashdot/slashdot/~3/g6LJdZ1wqnQ/article.pl

can't do with my FF extensions

BE SURE TO INSTALL NIGHTLY TESTER TOOLS EXTENSION THEN INSTALL 3.0.1 A2

you lose your extensions but get them back by clicking force compatibility

there are a number of about:config alterations for FF that i have,if you want a faster FF,e-mail me for those
2008-09-06 19:54:36 UTC
yes, it rocks!

i'm using it now.

it doesn't use as much memory as firefox also.

it hasn't crashed on me once.

if i had to list the four main browsers from 1 - 4 i'd say

1. chrome

2. safari

3. firefox

4. ie

But when that becomes too limited or problematic for me, I'll switch to something else.

Yes! I love it. You should download it. It's not built with any crappy spyware and doesn't bog down your system. Also it's easy to install or uninstall if you don't like it. Don't worry.

i think it is great. it is much faster than any other browser. it is less messy & it is Java enable so it is gr8..visually.

not sure why it says Safari browser is still beta..some times but thumps up from me.

i got it and its horrible

i had to download a separate modded java to use java in chrome!

its horrible

it bogs down my computer

its fast only like 15% of the time

If I could list browsers by numbers i would do this:

1.IE8

2.Chrome

3.Firefox

4.Safari

5.Other ones ive tried like maxthon, opera etc
