http://www.get-your-rom.com/

Every single file on this site seems to be corrupted ? and I find no way to contact them. Every D64 file is about 30kbyte zip and cannot be extracted. http://www.get-your-rom.com/download/c64/impossible-mission-rom/1984epyxd64 this file for example a working d64 should be about 170 kbyte
Any ideas ?

I use latest mozilla firefox to download
Also grateful for suggestion on a good search engine.
google and yahoo usually gives me wild guesses rather than what I request and its very annoying, If I try to download a pdf google will download forever a non-working "preview" instead of letting me download the file (I typical wait 10 mins before I can see anything instead of 4 mins to actually download the whole file). Links are always redirected making every search take minutes rather than seconds. In the old days I could click a link and get info I wanted instant without megabytes of statistics or whatever I get redirected to from site to site. Mostly the links are too long to fit in the search window so I cant enter it directly as this cuts of the last part. Now mostly I wait and click only to find 100s sites bragging proudly that they dont have what im looking for but please download some other random garbage while grinning teeth and pulling hair waiting for the flashing java crap to load... If I find a page with info of value I edit it down to about 5% of the original size without loosing any info at all when saving. just cutting out unwanted crap.
Is there a way to block images / java scrips by default for most sites and only allow on the ones where those are useful ?
Preferably selective , many sites have flash ads f.ex , Some I block in hosts but its often hard to find out where the flash ads are hosted.

I'd recommend using a different site to get your C64 roms. All the ones I've ever downloaded (and have tested) worked just fine.

To fix corrupt system files without reinstalling the OS just select the option to repair the system. Boot up your OS disk and just keep going until you come to an option that ask if you want to repair the system. New files will be written to your HDD. If this works then your only future protection is performing an OS backup. Use FREE Simply Safe Backup. Save backup as a ZIP file. Next time when the system plays up or start to behave funny or slow simply restore your backup files.

Same problem! C64 rom files I think are corrupted. Best way is to get a real machine used with or without cables to hook it to the internet.

Is Q-link even still around with their old servers to go to the Q-Link bulletin board?
