I have facebook and one day I discovered that when you google my name and hit images my picture is right there and then it gives you a link to my facebook so not cool. I went into facebook privacy settings and saw where yes I had this check, my bad ok I"ll calm down so I of course unchecked it and saved settings. Here it is about 3 weeks later and my picture is still on google. Could you please let me know if Im not unchecking the right box or what am I doing wrong. I would really like my pic off of google. Also does it make a difference that I log on to facebook and then search for my self on google and I see it??

Thanks in advance.

OK, I had this problem for my name in a cached version of a facebook page.

In this regard, Google says :

"if you need to remove Google's cached copy of a page that has already changed on the website or stop Google from showing results for a page that has been taken down completely, you can use Google's removal tool to expedite the process. To use the tool, you'll need to follow certain requirements, detailed below.

...... you can request removal of the content from appearing as a cache copy or snippet in Google's search results by using the public URL removal tool. (It bears repeating: The site owner—whether it's you or somebody else—must have first made the required changes to the site, or this process will not work to remove the content from search results.) "

The robotic.txt is how the webmaster of the website can educate seek engines not to index a web page, with no need to take away the image, handiest the administrator of the internet website can do this. If displaying the image is unlawful or slanderous one way or the other there probably grounds to touch the internet website internet hosting organization who have a tendency to be extra responsive than a few site owners. Otherwise your SOL. An govt from a thousand million buck organization could rent a repute leadership carrier, who is problem negotiators and attorneys will attempt to get the offense eliminated, if that fails they're going to create new constructive content material to fill web page a million of the textual content seek outcome, pushing the unhealthy stuff off to web page two in which so much fewer persons seem.
