In Google, you have the option of using Google Instant, and you can change the settings in the preferences page. I went there and turned it off completely, so when I go to Google it doesn't do the instant search. However, when I am on a page and try to search in the Google sidebar (Alt+G), it still does the instant search. I was wondering how to turn this off.

Block

http://www.google.com/xjs/*

(or, if problems occur with above)

http://www.google.com/xjs/_/js/s/*

ABP should be able to do that, or urlfilter.ini on opera.
