my friends asked me to delete a picture from my myspace account that i havent been on in almost 2 years probably because she had a beer in her hand and when she googled her name the picture came up. being curious i googled my own name and only 2 pictures i have on my facebook account came up and some stuff i reblogged on tumblr, no big d. but then when i googled my friends name at least 50% of the pictures that came up in google where from my myspace and facebook page. they werent bad photos or anything, because i am smart enough to not put bad photos online but i just find it very weird that all my pictures came up when i googled her name, but barely any came up when googling my name.
so my question is why did my pictures come up when google my friends name, alot of the pictures she wasnt even in.
and is there anyway to remove them from google ? i tried deleting some pictures and making some private but they still showed up.
its not a big deal that they are on there, i just really like how my pictures come up when someone else is googled and also it bugs me because the pictures take them to my myspace and facebook pages and i dont want those just out in the public. haha

thanks for the help ! (:

Because you're so cool and Google wants your pictures and they want you to work there ;)

Do you now, or have you ever used "Picasa"?

Did you ever put 'tags' on any pic's when posted to a public forum?

Do you just upload pic's without modifying the 'meta data' ("exif" extension on fotos)?

Do you use Google Toolbar &/or Google Search?

Do you allow 3rd party cookies?

Do you permit "Active Scripting" (JavaScript) in the browser?

All of these things are being leveraged to compile a profile of you, your friends, what you do, who you do it with, where you spend time on the 'Net, where you buy things, and God only knows what else.

Privacy (that once sacred thing that was a "Golden Rule") has been swept aside for the new religion with money as the God, and how to get more of it the religion.

Users must now do everything possible to constrain what they unleash on the 'Net, and inform their friends to do the same regarding you because THEY have profiles which includes you.

If you haven't already, try changing the setting for the public search listing (it's called something like that) so that your account doesn't have one. Also, try emailing an administrator about it, if it really bothers you.

Because you have to change your privacy so that friend of your friends can not see you otherwise the can see you
