I downloaded a Google chrome theme from there gallery and saved it. I can tell the theme was applied because the border of my window changed colors, but whenever I go into a new tab its supposed to show the actual theme (the pictures). Well it only shows this avg secure search. Well I went to my extensions and I didn't see it there??? How do I get rid of this so I can see my theme, and is this my problem? I would be happy if I could be given a solution to this question tyvm.

One of the extensions is causing the background not to show. Menu > Tools > Extensions Disable one at a time to see which one is causing the issue. Mine was Hulu.

Google is still working on its Chrome themes. Im running the development version 3.0.196.2 and themes (or at least theme page) are unfinished. Im sure that when its done an announcement will be made - but for quicker access to new/upcoming features try changing to the beta or development channel versions.

Maybe try re installing the theme from the chrome web store if this doesn't work maybe re install chrome, just make sure you import your bookmarks from the bookmark manager just in case, normally they should be restored. Also make sure your chrome is up to date.
