How do I turn off Google Instant, and KEEP IT OFF?

Question

Several times a day, I have to turn off Google Instant! I click "save" every time. I have been told that if my cookies are deleted, Google Instant will revert back to "on." Well, my cookies don't get deleted unless I do it manually. And I haven't done it in a few weeks. So, why in the world do my saved settings revert back all the time? It's really annoying as all get out!
Any ideas at all? Thanks!

You need to login to your google account and then save the settings to make it permanent.

It must be something you have installed. I use my computer daily and often make use of Google Search but I have never seen anything called Google Instant

Go to your browser settings and browse through the various tabs. Enable the option "Accept Cookies" and now it should remain off
