custom post URLs on tumblr?

hi i just made a tumblr account and i wanted to know how to make a custom post url like this:
www.xxxx.tumblr.com/faq or /about or something like that.
im not sure how to get the /faq part in my url. am i supposed to link it to a post, because when i do it turns out like www.xxxx.tumblr.com/post/2837582/faq and im not sure how to fix it. thank you :)

Okay, so you go here:

(if it's a secondary blog you plan to do that on just type the username right after that)



underneath the appearance thing it should say pages, if it doesn't say add a page right after that, click "pages" and then click add a page. You can do anything you would do in a post and where it says "Page url:" click right after your blog's url, and type in "about" or "faq" or whatever and either check show a link to this page or you don't have to.

If you want it to show a page but it doesn't just paste this into your description



My Page



Just change the FAQ to whatever url you put and the My Page to whatever page you put, and done!
