Hello.

I am receiving ridiculous spam from the same advertisement site and I don't know what it is. I think someone used my email address and signed up for very ridiculous ads. I've gotten over 100 spam mail in less than a day and I manually unsubscribed them one at a time, and only got through half.

I also tried filters in gmail, but the messages I get seem to bypass them by using different symbols, for example: They use "w0|2d" as "Word" and bypass my filters. I understand that the spam messages go into the spam box, but is there ANY way to prevent them from coming? I tried to unsubscribe to them all but some do not have any unsubscription link and it really frustrates me. I don't want any spam at ALL.

I know some people will say just to make a new email, but I like mine, I just have a spam problem. Does anyone know how to stop these incoming messages? Thanks! :)

Oh snap, too late. DONT use unsubscribe links, firstly!!!

That's a way of letting spammers know -- "YES, I'M HERE, SEND MORE SPAM!"

I would only use an unsubscribe link from a business or entity that I know I actually did the subscription to (i.e. bank, credit card co, web store)

You ain't gonna be able to make enough filters to catch all spam... it's impossible.

Be careful what you enter your e-mail address into -- that's a surefire way of getting spammed when you're not careful

I don't have g-mail (i use yahoo) but doesn't it have a spam filter? Yahoo also allows 'disposable' e-mail addresses (called AddressGuard)

Good luck.

Same thing happened to me this morning from my yahoo account. A link was sent from me to all my contacts via 4 separate messages (all with different links.) None of the links really worked but Im kind of worried about this. Let me know what you find out.
