the intrusive, greedy brats at Google have introduced a blue bar which says "click here to start sharing on google+" which you can't get rid of. The initial workaround which someone discovered, involving Adblock Plus, stopped being effective after one day. I suspect Google themselves managed to stop the Adblock blocking method working. Meanwhile I have seen discussion threads where Google employees claim "they are working on the problem". This is (allegedly, some might opine) naked greed, (allegedly, some might opine) patronising disingenuousness and, worst of all, (allegedly, some might opine) intrusiveness. On the principle that greedy brats must pay for wasting my time I therefore need to change to another search engine. As a first try I am using Bing. Any other opinions? Ideally a competitor which Google has some concerns about...

There's only two other search engines worth bothering about, Yahoo and Bing.

Those 'greedy brats' provide all their services FOR FREE for the morons like you. Stop whining like a kid and use other search engines..

Edit: heh right, I'm in the IT business. Still, I'm right. Google makes money by advertising and analyzing your surfing habits to provide you even 'better' (means: more relevant and 'interesting') ads. If you don't like them, don't look at them, they cost you nothing anyway. And anyway, why do you get annoyed by that 'blue bar'? If you search with the search field in Firefox (to the right of the location input field), you don't even see it.

Try this one. It searches the search engines.
