As it says, my Google Chrome crashes as soon as I open it, I double click it and it closes with an error message telling me that it closed. So I tried deleting the Default file, and it works!!! Then I close it, try go back onto it and bam, same problem, every single time I want to go onto Google Chrome I have to delete the Default file, no fucking way am I putting up with that shit, does anyone else have an alternative? I can't check the advanced text box whatever it is, it's not there, so don't bother telling me about that.

Google chrome has some issues lately.

You have to uninstall it manually & again reinstall it after rebooting.

Make sure extensions are displayed for your files. Here's how:

Go to the Start menu > Control Panel. (Windows 8 users: Learn how to access the Control Panel)

Double-click Folder Options.

Click View.

Make sure the "Hide extensions for known file types" checkbox is deselected.

Right-click this link.

Click Save Link as and save the file name as remove.reg. (Select "All files" as your file type.)

Exit Google Chrome completely.

Double-click remove.reg on your desktop.

In the confirmation window, click Yes.

Click OK.

Enter the keyboard shortcut Windows key +E to open Windows Explorer.

In the Windows Explorer window that appears enter one of the following in the address bar:

Windows XP:%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Google

Windows Vista/ Windows 7/ Windows 8: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google

Delete the Chrome folder in the directory that opens.

After reinstalling it, it will work fine.

There are many possible reasons for this kind of Crashing... 1. System Errors: Many errors in system or corrupt data in windows registry leads to crashes. First you need to fox those with any good software toll available such as RegInOut. It will also impact computer performance in positive way. 2.Virus or Trojans: If you find your Computer Crashes, run an updated virus scanner as you could have a virus. 3.Fragmented Disk: As files are added, deleted, and updated on a disk, the contents of the file can become spread across different sectors located in different regions of the disk. This is called file or disk fragmentation. Disk fragmentation can slow down your machine because the disk heads have to move back and forth to find all the fragments of a file. Windows comes with it's own disk defragmentation tool and the microsoft website explains how to run it. 4.Repair system files: When trying to solve Computer Crashes problem, the Last Known Good Configuration will only repair the registry data. But if there is something wrong with the system files, it will result in system instability or failure to log in the system. So a scan with the system command "SFC" is needed. Once a file is found to be missing or damaged, you will be prompted to insert the installing CD to restore the original file. You can go to Start -> run -> type "sfc /scan now" and then "Enter" to begin the scanning. By the way, please remember to use a patched CD to restore the system if the operating system in the installing CD is an older one, avoiding a restore to an older version.

Chrome Browser crashes with Windows Vista (only during initial launch):

we have to disable SUPERFETCH service from Vista services:

- START -> RUN -> SERVICES.MSC

- scroll down to locate SUPERFETCH service

- double-click mouse on SUPERFETCH

- choose STARTUP-TYPE to DISABLED

- click APPLY

- REBOOT the system

It is good to delete all the files from C:\Windows\Prefetch folder regularly. We can delete the Prefetch folder itself completely, after deleting the Prefetch\Readyboot folder.

Hi there,

You should definitely try Total Unistall (get one of the latest versions though). Link http://j.mp/1k3UTMD

It's surely the leader program of its type
